Ohio adds Towson to 2027 football schedule

Ohio will host Towson at Peden Stadium in Athens, Ohio, on September 4, 2027. The Bobcats will pay the Tigers a $425,000 guarantee for playing the game, according to the copy of the contract.

Ohio and Towson have never met on the gridiron previously. The Bobcats are 2-2 overall against current members of the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA), while the Tigers are 3-4 against Mid-American Conference (MAC) opponents.

With the addition of Towson, Ohio now has all four non-conference opponents set for its schedule in 2027. The Bobcats are scheduled to open the season on the road against West Virginia on August 28. Other contests include Marshall at home on Sept. 11 and Texas State on the road on Sept. 25.

AD of theirs is a Sports AD Alum as well. Good to see we got a full schedule for 2027, got regionality sprinkled in too, should be a fun one.
